Ingredients: S-Adenosylmethionine Tosylate Disulfate, Cellulose, Enteric Coating (contains one or more of the following: Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose Phthalate, Methacrylic Acid Copolymer, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Triacetin, Titanium Dioxide), Mannitol, Citric Acid, Vegetable Stearic Acid, Silicon Dioxide, Sodium Starch Glycolate, Croscarmellose Sodium, Yellow Ochre.
Recommended Dosage: SAMe should be taken on an empty stomach for maximum absorption. SAMe supplementation can be divided over the course of the day, (i.e. before breakfast, before lunch and before supper.) Clinical studies indicate that benefits may be evident in the first week or two of supplementation. Take 1 tablet (400mg) a day for the first week. If the desired benefits are not achieved, you may increase your level of supplementation by taking 2 tablets daily (800mg) in the second week. In some cases it may be necessary to increase your intake of SAMe to as much as 4 tablets a day (for a maximum of 1600mg). A month or two after you have achieved your desired result you can try to decrease your dosage to a maintenance level of 400mg to 800mg daily. For more specific information, you may consult a health care professional.
Caution: If you suffer from bipolar or manic depression, do not use this product. If you are currently taking prescription anti-depressants, consult your physician before use. Pregnant or lactating women should consult their physician before taking this product.

SamE has some good clinical evidence that it helps with minimal to moderate depression and I find that it seems to have been helpful to me in this difficult time. I also like the fact that Consumer Labs, an independent lab, has identified Nature's Trove as the cheapest product that actually has the stated ingredients in the stated dosage in the pill.

After many years, by using SAMe supplements I was able to reduce my antidepressant dosage. The enteric coating allows me to take on an empty stomach without upset. Price is comparable to other less effective brands. Plus MADE IN AMERICA!

For me, Nature's Trove SAMe 400 mg is the best I've used over the years, & the price is fair! (I've been using it for over a year.) Plus, it's made locally in NJ! I appreciate that I can order directly, not via Amazon, etc. Excellent product! Will keep using.

I did not want to start a prescription med to take the edge off anxiety & stress so I decided to tried SAM-e 400mg. Felt it wasn't a huge investment. I am SO very glad I took a leap of faith. With just one tablet in the morning I actually feel calmer and more able to get around whatever is trying to get in my head. If you're sitting on the fence wishing something for besides having to decide between fight or flight, I highly recommend giving SAM-e a try. I haven't noticed any negative side effects... only improvements in disposition and attitude!
Nicely priced and good potency. I've tried several brands of SAMe and a few are equally potent and a few are slightly less expensive with the trade off of being noticeably less potent. Nature's Trove has been the best of both, great product and a great value.
I've tried a handful of brands of SAM-e... This one is clearly the best. For whatever reason, I have experienced benefit from other brands for a few months but then it stops working. Hasn't been the case with Nature's Trove. I took off one star because while it helps a little with mood and is definitely worth taking (for me), it is far from a cure all for depression. It gives me enough of boost to work on things I need to be doing. In other words, it is a part of the solution but not the solution itself.
I use SAMe to treat severe bipolar depression. I take from 800 - 1200mg daily and it works better than any Rx I've tried, and there have been many! This brand is potent and effective. I have a lot riding on the quality of my supplements (I'm in the psych ward if they fail) and I always trust and recommend Nature's Trove.
