Ingredients: S-Adenosylmethionine Tosylate Disulfate, Cellulose, Enteric Coating (contains one or more of the following: Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose Phthalate, Methacrylic Acid Copolymer, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Triacetin, Titanium Dioxide), Mannitol, Citric Acid, Vegetable Stearic Acid, Silicon Dioxide, Sodium Starch Glycolate, Croscarmellose Sodium, Yellow Ochre.

Recommended Dosage: SAMe should be taken on an empty stomach for maximum absorption. SAMe supplementation can be divided over the course of the day, (i.e. before breakfast, before lunch and before supper.) Clinical studies indicate that benefits may be evident in the first week or two of supplementation.

Take 1 tablet (400mg) a day for the first week. If the desired benefits are not achieved, you may increase your level of supplementation by taking 2 tablets daily (800mg) in the second week. In some cases it may be necessary to increase your intake of SAMe to as much as 4 tablets a day (for a maximum of 1600mg). A month or two after you have achieved your desired result you can try to decrease your dosage to a maintenance level of 400mg to 800mg daily.

Caution: If you suffer from bipolar or manic depression, do not use this product. If you are currently taking prescription anti-depressants, consult your physician before use. Pregnant or lactating women should consult their physician before taking this product.

    Definite effect on my mood and energy levels. I also take it for arthritis, which it helps keep under control. I recently found out that it has numerous anti-aging benefits. Highly recommended for people with depression or energy issues. You have to take as much as will give you the intended effect, up to 1600 mg./day. Don't take them after noon - they do raise your energy levels and may make it hard to sleep. Nature's Trove seems stronger than Nature Made or store brand.

    SAMe really helps my knees fell better. I need a knee replacement, but this supplement has made it so much easier to walk. I am in a better mood also and I definitely attribute that to SAMe.

    For 15 years I’ve taken 2 SAM-e 400mg (800mg total) every morning with a tall glass of water as soon as I wake for hip arthritis. A coworker had been taking it to treat fibromyalgia, said it was the only thing that worked for her. I was shocked to hear her say that because she was so cheerful and high energy it was unbelievable to think she lived with chronic pain. I’ve shared with people that I have hip arthritis and they react similarly, saying, “you’re so energetic, you never complain or back off activity, you never stop moving!” SAM-e takes away my stiffness and pain. I definitely notice when I miss a day or two. Over the years I’ve tried different brands but find SAM-e is such high quality and works best for me.

    Effective for Mood and Joint Health

    SAMe was recommended by my mental health provider. I started on a different brand and experienced nearly immediate improvements with low mood. The cost for that brand was unsustainable so I was looking for an effective, high-quality option that was not so expensive. Nature's Trove delivered!     I chose this company based on recommendation from ConsumerLab.com. When I depleted the supply I bought another brand that was individually packed in a blister pack like these are, but for which I had no review. These are better priced and more generous amount of tablets. I keep them in the fridge because of how easily SAMe can deteriorate in light, heat, humidity. I’m sure the blister packaging goes a long way for maintaining integrity of this product.

    SAM-E 400 mg

    I read that SAM-E might help with Bursitis, so I decided to try it. I had been getting cortisone injections from my doctor every 3 months but after about 6 weeks, my hip would start hurting really badly again and I was struggling with a great deal of pain. I began taking the SAM-E 400 mg 3 times per day, but it was too much for me, made me feel strange. I got down to one tablet per day, had another injection and after more than 3 months my hip is beginning to bother me a little. I might up the dose to 2X per day morning and evening to see if it will take care of the pain. I can tell you, it’s soooo much better that the injections and pain medication! I am 68 years old. The
